GET ATMOSPHERE

Mark 9:17-18

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away...

Some you have been preaching to for years and the people still aren't getting what you have said. They haven't “heard” you. You could say they've got a dumb spirit...

GET EARS TO HEAR

Mark 9:17-19

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

I don’t know if that troubled you much but a whole lot of church members have these same problems. Satan has a way of clogging up your ears!  Even church people will miss what you trying to tell them. They don't hear what you are saying about the Bible, God's Word, or about success and being successful. They will hear the wrong stuff. You “could” say that they have a dumb spirit...

THINK RIGHT

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Keep your thinking right! You are where you are because of how God has come into your life and changed it. You are blessed...

JESUS MESSIAH

Matthew 17:5-9

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, “Arise, and be not afraid.” And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, “Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.”

At times, you will see people put people on the same level with Jesus. You must be careful to give ALL honor and glory to God who is the head of your life!...

JESUS IS HIGHER

Mathew 17:4

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Moses represented the law and Elisha represented the prophets. God sent two men in the vision who were “like Jesus” and who represented all Jesus represented. Jesus came to fulfil the law and he was a prophet. Jesus was greater than they were....

NEED ENCOURAGEMENT?

Matthew 17:1-3

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him...

In this Scripture, Moses and Elijah who have been in heaven for way over a thousand years show up! The Bible says that they talked with Jesus. The reason Jesus went to the mountain is because Jesus himself needed some encouragement...
