JESUS SHOWED UP

Mark 5:6-9

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

         For a moment, I want you to focus your attention on the man referred to in Mark 5:9 as “Legion.” He was possessed with demons. For all intents and purposes, this man was considered dead by those who knew him. He was an outcast from family and society. He was a living dead man!...

TIMES AND SEASONS

Ecclesiastes 3:1

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

         No smoke arose from the altar of the priest who offered sacrifices in exercise of his sacred functions. No music flowed from their harps, for they hung their harps upon the weeping willows. No joy filled their souls, and they had no freedom of their own. No mercy was shown to them from the Babylonians...

REMEMBERING ZION

PSALM 137:1-4

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?

Life in Babylon had been hard for them. All they had known was servitude and mockery. Remember, the Babylonians said to them one day, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion.” Their answer came ringing back: “How can we sing the Lord’s songs in a strange land? (Psalm 137:3-4).” The hope of returning to their homeland was farthest from their minds and far beyond their wildest dreams...

THE OMNISCIENCE OF GOD

EZEKIEL 37:3

And He said unto me, “Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, “O Lord, thou knowest. 

The word, omniscience per Webster’s Dictionary means “the state of being omniscient [which means: “Having universal knowledge; knowing all things; infinitely knowing or wise; as the Omniscient God...”
