KNOW HIM PREEMINENTLY

Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Do the things that break the heart of Jesus break my heart? When is the last time you shed a tear over some soul that is mortgaged to the devil? When is the last time you have wept over the sins of this world? Paul had a broken and compassionate heart. Paul wanted to know Him personally...

MORE CONFIRMATION OF THE TRUTH

Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

The word “Gospel” has an interesting etymology. In the Greek, it is defined as is the compound word euangelion, and “good," and aggellō, which means "to proclaim, tell..."

ONE TRUE MESSAGE PREACHED

Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

In Ephesians 1:13, Paul speaks of "the word of truth," which is best stated and understood as "the gospel of your salvation."
In other words, it is the Gospel that is the only truth that brings salvation. This truth forms the foundation of all other truth; it is the source from which all other truth flows. This is the Gospel. The “word” translates in the Greek to logos which means “to speak intelligently, to articulate a message, to give a discourse...”
