Ephesians
1:13
In
whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise.
In
Ephesians 1:13, Paul speaks of "the word of truth," which is best
stated and understood as "the gospel of your salvation."
In other words, it is the
Gospel that is the only truth that brings salvation. This truth forms the
foundation of all other truth; it is the source from which all other truth
flows. This is the Gospel. The “word” translates in the Greek to logos which
means “to speak intelligently, to articulate a message, to give a discourse...”
